Explore the impact the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program has made over the years
Since its inception, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at USIU-Africa has transformed lives by empowering academically talented, community-minded, and economically disadvantaged youth from across Africa. These impact stories highlight the journeys of students and alumni who have overcome significant challenges to access quality education, gain leadership skills, and make meaningful contributions to their communities. From launching grassroots initiatives to leading in global spaces, their experiences reflect the real and lasting change that the Scholars Program continues to inspire.
The individual Give Back projects are structured to take place between years 1 and 3 of the Scholars’ studies. The purpose of the Give Back project is to create connections between the Scholars and the communities where they come from. The Give Back projects allow Scholars to transform their communities by being change agents and leaders in the community.
This report below highlights some of the Give Back Projects our Scholars have been involved in.
