Overview
The BSc. degree program in Hotel and Restaurant Management combines the teaching of business management with culinary appreciation. As a student, you will learn the concepts and techniques related to hotel and restaurant operations, food preparation and service, accounting, financial management, front and back office operations, and international marketing. You will gain a thorough foundation of national and international markets, exceptional customer service, industry standard software applications, leadership, cultural diversity, operations and management skills.
The program aims at imparting a range of attitudes, skills, knowledge and problem-solving abilities in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Hospitality Planning and Development with an emphasis on internships, case studies, simulations and research.
As a graduate, you will be prepared to reliably demonstrate the ability to effectively apply information technology in hospitality operations, application research, formulate and implement appropriate procedures in hospitality operations and create new hospitality products and services.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program,

Admission Requirements
Admission to undergraduate degree programs are based on academic achievement at the secondary level. All applicants are expected to satisfy procedures and criteria for admission to USIU-Africa, and to submit acceptable original documents which verify that they have satisfactorily completed, and met all admission requirements.
Applicants for admissions into the undergraduate degree programs are subject to selective screening based on academic achievement at the secondary level.
