Overview

The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) short course at USIU-Africa provides comprehensive training in computer networking fundamentals and prepares learners for the globally recognized CCNA certification. This course covers essential networking concepts such as network fundamentals, IP addressing and connectivity, network access, routing and switching, basic network security, and network automation.

Designed for aspiring IT professionals and career switchers, the CCNA short course equips learners with practical, hands-on skills to configure, manage, and troubleshoot small to medium-sized enterprise networks. Participants gain real-world experience working with routers, switches, and IP-based networks, while learning how modern wired and wireless networks operate in business environments.

The CCNA certification is internationally recognized and highly valued by employers across the IT and networking industry. Completing this short course opens doors to entry-level and mid-level roles such as Network Technician, Network Administrator, IT Support Specialist, and Junior Network Engineer.   • Who the Program is Designed For: Aspiring network engineers, IT support staff, and students seeking foundational networking skills and certification.
  • Program Intake Dates/Periods: Starts second or third week of the semester. (Classes run depending on the instructor’s availability and the number of students enrolled)
  • Program Fees: Tuition fee – Ksh 8,000/= per module (There are 3 modules in total). Examination fee of USD 300.
  • Program Duration: 10 weeks
