Overview

The Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics & Drones short course at USIU-Africa introduces learners to the core principles behind intelligent systems, robotics design, and autonomous technologies. The program provides a strong foundation in Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, computer vision, and robotics, equipping learners with future-ready skills for emerging technology fields.

Participants learn how intelligent systems perceive, learn, and make decisions, while exploring the basics of machine learning algorithms, data-driven models, and computer vision techniques used in robotics and drone technology. The course also covers autonomous systems, sensors, control systems, and the fundamentals of robotic movement and navigation.

A key focus of the program is hands-on learning. Learners engage in practical projects where they build, program, and test simple robotic and drone-based systems, gaining real-world experience in coding, system integration, and problem-solving. These projects help bridge the gap between theory and application, making complex concepts easy to understand and apply.

Designed in-house by USIU-Africa, this short course is tailored to meet industry trends and technological advancements. It is ideal for students, innovators, and professionals seeking to develop foundational skills in AI, robotics, and autonomous technologies, and serves as a stepping stone to advanced studies and careers in artificial intelligence, robotics engineering, automation, and smart systems.
