Sports & Fitness
We have a long history of success
At USIU-Africa, sports and fitness are an essential part of student life. With modern facilities, competitive teams, and recreational programs, we encourage all students to stay active and energized. Whether you’re into football, basketball, swimming, or just hitting the gym, there’s something for every fitness level. It’s not just about staying fit — it’s about building discipline, teamwork, and balance.
Fitness
The university has a state of the art gym located at the Sports Wing of the Student Center. The fitness programs run from Monday to Friday every semester. The Sports Wing is made up of the Martial Arts room, Cardio room, Main Gym, Aerobics Studio, Strength and Conditioning Room.
Swimming pool
USIU-Africa’s campus swimming pool is a modern fitness facility built to enhance student wellness and support athletic development. The 25-meter, 8-lane deck-type pool features a fully equipped filtration system, comfortable sunbeds, and comprehensive safety equipment. With clean and spacious changing rooms for both men and women, plus a paraplegic-accessible facility, the pool is inclusive and ideal for students looking to stay active, train, or unwind right on campus.
Sports
The Sports Office co-ordinates all sporting activities. USIU-Africa sport teams represent the university in various competitions within and outside the country. In order to engage as many students as possible in sports, the university provides participatory sports programs where students are encouraged to participate for leisure, recreation, as well as development of talents.
