The competition followed a standard format of morning preliminaries and evening finals, with the majority of the USIU-Africa athletes successfully qualifying for the finals or securing reserve positions.

The women’s team was led by Victoria A. Okumu, who dominated the long-distance and butterfly disciplines. She secured first-place finishes in both the 200m Butterfly (2:41.48) and the 800m Freestyle (10:45.49). Her consistency was evident earlier in the session, where she clocked a swift 2:39.38 in the 200m Butterfly prelims and a strong second-place finish in the 100m Butterfly prelims.

The men’s individual performances were equally competitive, characterized by high-ranking finishes in the backstroke and freestyle sprints. Jesse M. Okumu earned second place in both the 50m and 100m Backstroke finals, posting times of 31.22 and 1:11.02, respectively. Nethan K. Valua and Sean Odera also featured prominently in the backstroke finals, finishing fourth and sixth in the 50m event. Odera further demonstrated his versatility by taking fifth place in the 100m Freestyle final with a time of 1:05.39 and performing well in the 50m Butterfly prelims. Joshua Isige and Kyle Kimani added to the team’s depth, with Isige competing in the 50m Breaststroke and Kimani representing the club in the 50m Freestyle.

A significant highlight of the championships was the dominance of the USIU-Africa men’s relay teams.
