The commencement of Cohort 2 of the I&M Future Leaders Program on March 6-7 marked a significant milestone in the continued pursuit of excellence in leadership development within the banking sector. Organized by the Center for Executive Education, this program embodies the institution’s commitment to fostering a culture of strategic leadership and innovation. The diverse participant mix, comprising branch managers, regional managers, and relationship managers, underscored the program’s aim to nurture a well-rounded and knowledgeable group of future banking leaders.<\/p>

During the launch of cohort 2, key stakeholders emphasized the importance of commitment to maximizing the benefits of the program. Joseph Munyao, Head of Business Development at the Center for Executive Education, Prof. Timothy Okech, Dean of Chandaria School of Business, and Dr. Stephen Githaiga, Lead Faculty, encouraged participants to be dedicated to the experiential and practical learning experience. Additionally, Christopher Benedict Mwirigi , Head of Leadership, Learning & Talent at I&M Bank, reiterated the bank’s support for staff development, urging participants to fully engage in the training for optimal growth.<\/p>

The primary objective of the I&M Future Leaders Program is to equip the bank’s leaders with the requisite skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to excel in their roles and drive the organization forward. Focusing on banking leadership and other critical aspects of the industry, the program seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, thereby promoting a seamless transition into leadership positions. The ultimate goal is to cultivate a pool of visionary leaders who can navigate the complexities of the banking landscape with confidence, agility, and a deep understanding of the industry’s nuances.<\/p>

The carefully curated participant mix was a deliberate effort to create a rich environment of knowledge sharing, cross-functional learning, and collaboration.
